lovin' the stones

I wore my new skirt today with a shirt that used to be my favorite (when I was about 10). I couldn't believe it still fit, and it was quite the nice suprise. Earlier I went to the Merion Art and Repro Center (an art store) with my sister so that I could get stuff for a scrapbook for Latin class (oh joy!) and the thrift store is right by there so I went in. I found a really pretty floral dress (feeding my need for lace and floral) and a edgy-ish kind of not really blue and white striped jacket that I really liked. I bought the dress but I decided to leave the jacket there because I couldn't think of an outfit to wear it with. And the biggest achievment of the day? I FOUND OUT HOW TO MAKE PICTURES BIGGER!!!! Much thanks to John Morton on opensourcephoto.net. Not like he knows who I am though, he was actually helping someone else. I love you all, goodbye!

black and white

New clothes! Guess what else is new? I wonder if you all can notice. Well i decided I would start using normal punctuation and correct spelling, hence capital letters and such. I went into Narberth and went into this Consignment Shop that I've been wanting to go into for a while. I found out that Consignment doesn't mean "thrift" unfortunately but it does mean cheaper. For example there was this Chloe crop tank top that looked like it was hand cut (on purpose of course) that was priced at $60 (!!!). I thought this was outrageous but then got over it because I found out that the people who give the stuff to the shop price the items themselves and they know how much they paid for it. Moving on though! The skirt is from Free People (see that capitals?), I am not exactly sure which year though. I estimate it was probably $100+ when originally bought, but guess how much I snagged it for? $36. Not cheap but still, great deal for one of my favorite brands (that I usually do not have the heart to spend money on, I might add). Moving on to the shirt, this is a brand called Egen, that I have never heard of. I think it was $24 but I don't really remember. It's polyester so not a great material but I really like it. And I've wanted white lace, because I'm in this "thing" where I REALLY want floral and lace, but do not have the money to buy it. Apologies for that short rant. And the reason my face is covered in both is because it's nighttime, and I don't look very presentable at the moment, and I wanted to spare your innocent eyes. Love you all, :).

T MAGAZINE

as i moseyed along in surban square while waiting for my dad to buy our lunch i looked over and on the table were two magazines. i went over and checked them out and flipped through really quickly to see if i knew what they were. i didn't so off i went with no magazines but once i had walked for roughly a minute i thought that i really should go and pick these up because they might be cool. so i ran back to get these off the table, and when i came back my dad said that they were a new york times magazine, which of course i didn't notice because i am incapable of reading the six words on the top right of both magazines ("the new york times style magazine"). when i got back home i started flipping and also reading the covers. the one on the right is actress rebecca hall and its the women's fashion summer 2010 issue. the one on the left is actress julianne moore and its the women's fashion spring 2010 issue. i have heard of neither of these actresses (is that bad?). i then came across this picture:

these kinds of pictures (the eye painted on the eye) are some of the best things to look at, in my opinion. i don't know why but whenever i see these i stare at them forever. this is not my favorite one though, this is: anime eyes. and i like just flipping my brain from seeing the painted eye to seeing the real one.

remember these shorts (right)? well i do, and i found them again, and i was quite proud when i could say "look, alexander wang shorts" without reading the thing below (this happened three times while looking through these [burbery][miu miu] and [a.wang]). and guess what? this picture showed the price! and guess what again? i cant afford them. why? because they are $725, i am very dissapointed.

vintage

tshirt: dkny, shorts: scamps, shoes: coach, necklace: vintage.
story of the necklace: lauren's mom gave her this necklace, i forget why. but then she brought it to school and gave it to me and was like "well my mom gave me this necklace but i didn't like it". and i loved it, so i took it. good story, right? i need your help. my friend was wearing clarks original desert boots today and i really wanted them so i looked them up. the problem is that they are $95 and only come in mens sizes. so if you guys happened to run into cheaper knock offs or something could you let me know? because i was kind of obsessed with his pair all day. he said they came in womens but the websites disagrees. danka!

fly away!!!!!!!

i am drowned in the wonderful urban outfitters today, everything but my necklace is from there. but why not? its my favorite store that i can kind of afford. i wish the tights and shoes were lighter but i had no others that would go with the outfit. i just remembered something, the place i took my sewing classes at got their students invited to be in a runway show for philly fashion week, so i get to show off my cape (which i don't really like that much anymore :( ), yay!!! runway!!!

whose got a blog? i want to see it!!! comment your URLs por favor. ciao!

bloglovin'

this is a video explaining something called bloglovin', its like a feed of all your favorite blogs' new posts all in one place. but the video doesn't have music and that was irritating me so i put a song [swing,swing- the all-american rejects] on the post as well so that you can listen and watch the bloglovin' video. also, follow beetle-bug with bloglovin' as well!

floral tights!

striped button skirt: $48.00
lace nightgown dress thing: $48.00
lady bug necklace: $18.00
floral tights: $18.00

i went to urban outfitters today! i got a pair of the all holy floral tights! i see them everywhere and my mouth has been watering for a pair, and today, I FOUND SOME! yay! now the only problem is that the second i put a pair of tights on they manage to get runs, oh well. now i also got this lady bug necklace, why? three reasons 1. its pretty and nice 2. ive always wanted jewelry from urban outfitters because its usually nice but i never get around to actually getting it and 3. my middle name is beetlestone (hence beetle bug) and for some reason my family (my moms last name) connects that with a lady bug (hence necklace). i got the night gown because i like lace and i really wanted something nude coloured because it can be used very versatile-ly. and striped skirt, i just liked it, so i got it... mhmm. anyway speaking of nude color and beige and stuff i think you should check out mayo on lookbook, i am in awe of her use of pale colours and delicate pieces, she always looks like a goddess! favorite look from her [roman is romantic]:
