Zara... continued

MAH!

This is my friend Glen, an awesome party animal from the Zara on Walnut Street. He gets the title of "First Street Style Shot I Ever Took". Congrats Glen! I'll send you a prize...

I want all of these clothes to be shoved into a large suitcase and shipped off to London where I will have a lovely apartment that is in walking distance from everywhere and a rock star boyfriend who takes me to fancy restaurants and camps out in parking lots in a tent as our anniversary. Isn't it amazing what clothes can bring to your mind? This is Zara on Walnut Street and it's the only Zara near my house.

I went for the first time, and it's amazing. I mean I've heard of how great it is before but it's full of awesome plaid and stripes and lumberjack-ish clothing. There are knit cardigans with bows up the back and floral skirts that land right below the knee. All with staff that match the store, they are all dressed fantastically and Glen happened to be my favorite. Don't get me started on the shoes. Think of the most fantastic pair of shoes, and make it better, well that pair of shoes is probably in that store.

Then my au pair, Antonia, (who took me) told me that she lives near a place where there are five Zara's all near each other that all have different stuff in them. I wouldn't mind moving there.

My first time... at Zara

I walked into Zara for the first time and my mouth hung open. I was overwhelmed by sadness because from the second I entered the store that everything that packed it's four walls would be amazing, and I would not be able to have it... To be continued

FREAKISH WINDSTORMS

Went shoe shopping at DSW. LOVE that store, today I loved it even more than usual. The first shoe my dad offered to pay for (!!!) because he liked them on me enough, win. The second pair reminded me of all the JC wedges I see everywhere and love BUT were only $50! I had to get them.
PS. See that floral bench that is working as a pedestal for these amazing shoes? I made it. From scratch :D. I'm so proud of my self.
PSS. The wind keeps slamming my door and it's scaring the crap out of me.

WAY TOO OBSESSED

Went to Urban Outfitter's with Jenna today. None of the people who work there should EVER let us in the doors, each of us had in the end about forty items to try on. And the worst thing? We liked most of it, by the end of trying things on we would get excited about the stuff we didn't like because it meant we would have to spend less money. Once I was done tearing up the whole store and trying EVERYTHING on I had $420 worth of stuff I wanted, I slimmed it down to $140 :D. I was so proud. The stuff is on hold so I'm going to take mi madre to the store and see if she feels generous enough to buy any of it for me as "back to school" shopping. Jenna ended up with more than me. Then in the end I bought this purse and sunglasses because I couldn't wait. On the way back we found peppers, they were pretty.

Right now: Playing Neopets. Yes, I did say Neopets. :)

Adam Segall

Went shopping with Jordyn, Jenna and Sophie today. Got the shirt and pants and shorts from Urban Outfitters, all together they were about $145USD. Then we went and ate lunch, burgers, yummm! We went to American Eagle after that and I got the anchor ring and anchor necklace, it was buy one get one free so it was about $12USD. Fun weekend, county fair yesterday, ordered Chinese for dinner. Love ya!

VIDEOBLOG

Hey, so I went shopping at Wetseal, Abercombie Kids, Delia's, and Journeys. All together I think all of this was like $350-ish. And I forgot to introduce the new layout, I used Park & Cube's intense blog outline thing (HERE) as a cheat sheet.

summer shoes

I went on a super adventure with my mom and sister today! We had to get glue and wine and undies which was easy but then we had to get safety pins (for a DIY project) as well. Apparently safety pins are super rare and very sparce. We went to multiple stores to find them and it's prety much like they don't exist. Finally we found a store that had them and even then they only had like three packages. ARG! Anyway, those three were enough in the end, I'll show you what I'm making when it's completely done. Then my mommy took us shoe shopping! And i got these Steve Madden canvas sandle things and simple black Anne Klein flats. I was in love with this other pair of shoes but apparently they were to high *Sad face*.

I really want to do DIY projects that are actually DIYing a real thing but I can't think of what to do, any suggestions?

black and white

New clothes! Guess what else is new? I wonder if you all can notice. Well i decided I would start using normal punctuation and correct spelling, hence capital letters and such. I went into Narberth and went into this Consignment Shop that I've been wanting to go into for a while. I found out that Consignment doesn't mean "thrift" unfortunately but it does mean cheaper. For example there was this Chloe crop tank top that looked like it was hand cut (on purpose of course) that was priced at $60 (!!!). I thought this was outrageous but then got over it because I found out that the people who give the stuff to the shop price the items themselves and they know how much they paid for it. Moving on though! The skirt is from Free People (see that capitals?), I am not exactly sure which year though. I estimate it was probably $100+ when originally bought, but guess how much I snagged it for? $36. Not cheap but still, great deal for one of my favorite brands (that I usually do not have the heart to spend money on, I might add). Moving on to the shirt, this is a brand called Egen, that I have never heard of. I think it was $24 but I don't really remember. It's polyester so not a great material but I really like it. And I've wanted white lace, because I'm in this "thing" where I REALLY want floral and lace, but do not have the money to buy it. Apologies for that short rant. And the reason my face is covered in both is because it's nighttime, and I don't look very presentable at the moment, and I wanted to spare your innocent eyes. Love you all, :).

floral tights!

striped button skirt: $48.00
lace nightgown dress thing: $48.00
lady bug necklace: $18.00
floral tights: $18.00

i went to urban outfitters today! i got a pair of the all holy floral tights! i see them everywhere and my mouth has been watering for a pair, and today, I FOUND SOME! yay! now the only problem is that the second i put a pair of tights on they manage to get runs, oh well. now i also got this lady bug necklace, why? three reasons 1. its pretty and nice 2. ive always wanted jewelry from urban outfitters because its usually nice but i never get around to actually getting it and 3. my middle name is beetlestone (hence beetle bug) and for some reason my family (my moms last name) connects that with a lady bug (hence necklace). i got the night gown because i like lace and i really wanted something nude coloured because it can be used very versatile-ly. and striped skirt, i just liked it, so i got it... mhmm. anyway speaking of nude color and beige and stuff i think you should check out mayo on lookbook, i am in awe of her use of pale colours and delicate pieces, she always looks like a goddess! favorite look from her [roman is romantic]:

granny pearls

i dont really like this dress that much but my sister, naomi, didn't want it anymore and i thought that maybe i could do something with it.

i went to the thrift store today and fot this humongous tshirt, its actually a lot bigger than it looks. i dont know who the picture is but it was $4 (expensive for a thrift store but still cheap) so i said hey why not and its super cool.

this amazing granny pearl necklace is also from my thrift adventures, it was $10 (oh and for this trip to the store my parents thankfully paid, because i am BROKE)

the reason we went to the thrift store was to donate stuff (they didn't take it today because...? i don't know) and this was in my dads pile so i immediately grabbed it before it could go to thrift land

these shorts ($8) are also from thrift today, they are huge on me but i wanted a big pair of shorts so that i could use a belt for the top. they aren't perfect but i like them.

freezing sun

i went to urban outfitters today and got the floral shorts and the lace top. i'm in love with the shorts even though they are the most awkward thing, when i picked them up i thought it was a skirt, but apparently not. the lace top is just something that i've wanted for a while, there were a few other things that i wanted to get but i didn't have enough money. naomi (my sis
ter) is going to make up a sewing class tomorrow and i might go so that i can figure out this old sewing machine i didn't know we had, its
not the kind i know how to use. on tuesday i'm going to the BVI (british virgin islands), guana island in particular. i'm so excited! here is a picture:

isn't it pretty? i used to go every year but we haven't gone for four years. it's kinda sad though because i don't think i'll be blogging for that whole time. if theres wi fi i will see if i can post my own pictures.

yesterday i went on topshop to look around, i was on the website for t

wo hours... i fell it love with almost everything on it and i openned maybe 70 items, i want it to be my wardrobe. and i'm going along and see some pretty expensive stuff... THEN five minutes later i'm like "OH MY FREAKING GOD IT'S IN ENGLISH POUNDS", which is like 1.70 us dollars to 1 pound, so, yea, i kinda freaked out a bit there. anyway my favorite thing

i found was a pair of floral skinny jeans:

i noticed that my mattress is like the same print. bye bye!

imma be sipping that bubbly

this is a new black sharpie. what is special about it you ask. well in the regular world its a familiar object one uses to write with. but in artist world, it is god and serves the purpose of everything. the sharp tip and the clean black lines mean everything to me and my friend thor, both artist, one being much better than the other (that would be thor being better). i know i sound crazy, but its totally true, ask him.
look, i got a new pair of shoes! they look like guy shoes, i think thats why i like them. they are from DSW, we actually went for my sister but i just couldn't leave without a pair of shoes. all who read this should know that, shoes are amazing.

today's outfit: shirt:urban outfitters, over shirt thing: my mother's closet :D, jean leggings (NOT jeggings i hate when people call it that): random place called temptations. ps. i forgot my shoes down stairs and didn't want to get them.

so i was going to show you my favorite a.m. pieces from the fall show, then i ran into a photoshop problem: I DONT KNOW HOW TO USE IT. so um, yea, i will try to figure it out so i can show you, if not i can show you with boringly formatted pictures, but i am trying my bestest. oh and i went to the thrift store but couldn't find anything :(

hey, 10 year aniversary with my best friend mimi! i'm so excited. i randomly started drawing a bunch more, but it's kinda depressing stuff. and i have discovered topshop: my life has begun but also ended, i will probably spend my life there. anyway i have to go over to mimi's house! ( we are going to see alice in wonderland). much love <3 (check out topshop, and lookbook, and project runway) BYEEE
