Guess what super cool Claudia did today? She happened to silk screen. For those of ya'll who don't know what it is you put a design on this fabric type stuff and put it in a frame then paint all the parts you don't want inked with screen filler then you squeedgee it onto the canvas/shirt. Because that was so informative RIGHT?!?! I am now addicted to silk-screening and the top thing on my Christmas list is silk-screening stuff. I better get it... Oddly I'm not really in the Christmas mood, I guess I just have to completely deck out my room in fantastically tacky Christmas lights. Like is

Sophie came over after school today. What does that mean? Ukulele, Elements v2.0, chocolate chips and uh... that ^. She found a bunch of crap on my floor and put it on, honestly I think it looks awesome. I want to do a photoshoot with just a bunch of stuff worn on top of each other to make a massive blob of awesomeness. I am not even going to try to name everything that she has on. That's my Ohama ukulele though. It rocks. If I do say so myself. Please enjoy listening to the mediocrity that I call myself playing ukulele. I do hope your ears don't bleed.

This is my friend Glen, an awesome party animal from the Zara on Walnut Street. He gets the title of "First Street Style Shot I Ever Took". Congrats Glen! I'll send you a prize...

I want all of these clothes to be shoved into a large suitcase and shipped off to London where I will have a lovely apartment that is in walking distance from everywhere and a rock star boyfriend who takes me to fancy restaurants and camps out in parking lots in a tent as our anniversary. Isn't it amazing what clothes can bring to your mind? This is Zara on Walnut Street and it's the only Zara near my house.

I went for the first time, and it's amazing. I mean I've heard of how great it is before but it's full of awesome plaid and stripes and lumberjack-ish clothing. There are knit cardigans with bows up the back and floral skirts that land right below the knee. All with staff that match the store, they are all dressed fantastically and Glen happened to be my favorite. Don't get me started on the shoes. Think of the most fantastic pair of shoes, and make it better, well that pair of shoes is probably in that store.

Then my au pair, Antonia, (who took me) told me that she lives near a place where there are five Zara's all near each other that all have different stuff in them. I wouldn't mind moving there.

A few days ago I was on IFB and read an article Original Content in blogs that was written by Vahni of Grit and Glamour. She took a survey on her blog to see which kinds of post her readers liked better, how easy the layout was to use, if her readers liked the really, super original stuff better or the sort of "regurgitated" content better, etc..

When I first started blogging I had no idea what I was doing. I didn't have a plan on what I wanted to blog about or who I was going to be as a blogger so I just posted random crap that was really terrible and made no sense and I apologized for posting more than once in a day. It was a disaster (yes, all these posts are still up (actually there aren't THAT many, but they are REALLY bad), after you read this you will probably go stalk my horrific posts of the past). Then I started really snooping around the blogging world. I was discovering all the "famous" blogs that everyone knew about already and a few that were not so famous. I wanted followers (just like any new or old blogger would), so I said, "Oh, a lot of famous blogs have just outfit posts and "what's in my bag?" posts and catwalk reviews and just picture inspiration posts." So I started doing that (kind of, not religiously but if you go back and see my posts it's pretty "conformist) and I got a few followers so I kept doing it. But then when I came across the article written by Vahni I was like, Screw this!, I'm gonna do what I want, and I don't have to post everyday, and if I'm myself people will like it. So before this epiphany I used to spend a lot (A LOT) of time wondering why certain blogs were famous. Most prominently, Tavi's Style Rookie. I would think things like, "Why is this girl getting more followers and more attention than me? How come she got famous in like four months and I've been going for longer and only have 15 followers that are mostly my friends?"

Please don't get me in trouble for saying I used to think those things! I'm just being honest. Now (and for a pretty long time before this), I actually totally love how much Tavi layers and I wish I had the eye for it she does.

Now I know. Well I knew before but now I know more concretely. TAVI POSTS ORIGINAL STUFF. No other blogs talk about Daria and Neopets (I'm in love with both.. Just saying). Or Pop Magazine instead of Vogue. Or knows about random fantastic editorials and zines. I could go on. T reason Tavi's famous is because she does stuff no one else EVER does, and she does it pretty damn well. And it's stuff she posts about is interesting, I found out about Daria from her blog, I find out about cool current events from her blog, I found out about Sassy and First Kiss. She's posting stuff that people have never heard of, therefore teaching us about a bunch of new stuff that people SHOULD know about. She's a FANTASTIC writer as well so even if her posts are long, they are always interesting and fun to read.

PS. I also think she writes and rewrites and reads and rereads and edits her posts over and over again to make them perfect (which is awesome! But I'm too lazy and ADD about stuff to do it...).

I think (think...) the point of this post was to show new bloggers and my readers what my philosophy on blogging is now... Maybe... I'm not really sure, I just wanted to share my thoughts with you (which is what blogging is also about). This was a super text heavy post so... PICTURE!

Hi! On Saturday I went to the Eastern State Penitentiary (an old jail turned haunted house) with my photo class to take pictures. It was pretty epic, if I do say so my self. The bottom pictures (photo creds Chelsea) are what I wore there, it was colder than I thought...

Crosses by beetlbug featuring leopard print tops

Crosses: They are so fantastic, the shirts and the necklaces and the rings. I love all of them but I would never wear them. I don't know if this is like a touchy subject but I feel like I'd be disgracing the Christian community or something if I wear a cross, no matter how much I like them. I'm not religious at all and it makes me feel really awkward thinking about wearing a cross, whether its a tiny ring or a humongous pendant. But I don't feel uncomfortable about it because I'm scared of religion or don't want to associate with religion but because what if people become offended if I wear it? I just don't feel right doing it.

This brings me to other people who wear crosses. I pretty much live on LOOKBOOK.nu and a lot of the time I see people with cross t-shirts and jewelry and I wonder whether they wear it for they're religion, because it looks cool and they're Christian, or they just like how it looks regardless of the religious implications. Then again it would be awkward to email them or something and just ask "what is your religion, I creepily saw that you were wearing a cross double finger ring on this day on the post called "..." on LOOKBOOK last week." Yea, not gonna happen.

Also, I was reading a post the other day about how gap teeth are going in style and how its weird to think that things you can't change are going in and out of style. To me, this seems like a religious symbol is going in style. This reminds me of how the word "retarded" is used to substitute stupid, even though this isn't politically correct, it happens. Is it PC to wear a cross as a fashion statement?

What do you think about this? I want to here your "cross" stories and opinions because this has been kind of bugging me. I don't think I'm gonna ever change my mind about wearing crosses even if they're gorgeous, I just want to hear how other people deal with this (or if they think about it at all)?

Went to a bunch of open houses today. And then we came to this house. It's BEAUTIFUL. And amazing. And fantastic. I didn't take any pictures of the inside but I should have. It's and old carriage house and it has a gorgeous kitchen and amazing indoor balcony things. That pool is a swimming pool not just a fountain and that giant window looks into the master bathroom. I want to live in this place! I don't think we're going to buy it though. I had an outfit post today but all the pictures were super blurry so I decided It wouldn't. BUT! I wore my tapered sweatpants, saddle shoe keds, floral t shirt sweater, and a cardigain. SO COMFY! Anyway, Phillies game is on now so PEACE!

Today: Went to photo class (it was awesome, but we honestly didn't do anything). After that I met up with Adam and we walked to old city to go to AKA music. I got cheap used CDs from bands I've never heard of (winner). As I was stalking style.com because I haven't been on there in a while I went onto the trends page. I wanted to see what Vogue (read: "fashion god") said was "in" this season.

Layering
I'm a fail at layering, I try to do it but then stuff doesn't match then it looks awkward but I try. Really hard (it's true). Anyway, I actually really like layering if it's done right, especially when it's layer sweaters.

Long Stuff
Yes. Good Vogue. I approve a two hundred million bagillion, to and a half percent. I love long stuff I don't care if its right bellow the knee or dragging on the ground, I just love it. I have no further comments that shed light on this topic so.. NEXT.

Gold
It doesn't do it for me. I feel like it's an extra flashiness that you can achieve with anything else. It seems a little fake and tacky to me. But I can be changed, if someone shows me something where gold is worn fantastically (and nothing short of it) then I will become a believer.

Man Clothes
I like the tomboyish look but not when it's business suits and pants like it has been on the runway. I like the more laid back men's style like baggy jeans and I dunno, huge shirts? I dunno what men wear... Except my dad. Who, by the way, is EXTREMELY stylish. If I could wear what he wears every day, I totally would.

All Colour
I can't pull it off, if I wear too much colour at the same time I look like a circus clown (remember this). I like it on other people though, it's really interesting.

Fur
I love fur. I want a fur jacket, and fur boots, and fur vests, and fur purses. Just fur. But not real fur. Faux fur. It completes outfits if their boring and such. I'm running out of steam for commentary here.

1. Went to UO this weekend and guess what? I got me some tapered sweatpants! Woot. I'm wearing them right now, they're so comfy and softilicious. Oh PS. These pants both look super short but ACTUALLY they're regular length, the models are just uber tall... like models tend to be.
2. McDonalds cravings have taken over my soul.... kidding but seriously. My tennis coach brought McDs to practice and I was so jealous and now I want my burger and fries! Then I saw this on tumblr and it made me want it even more. Yum, oh the beauty of junk food.
3. I irritate myself when I say this but sorry for skipping lots of days and stuff. I've probably said this a thousands times but I just don't have much time, like I think of all these posts I want to do (I really wanted to do an outfit post today), but I never seem to get around to it. I'll have more time in the winter because I won't have tennis after school (PE in school. w00t (second time I've said that in a post, not a big deal)). Yea, well if I don't post for a few days I'm not dead, I'm resting (anyone catch the Monty Python reference? No? Tis Sad). But I'm not resting actually, I'm doing stuff, like homework... Blech

Hi guys, I'm back, I apologize for not telling you what I was doing but it just wasn't on my mind. I went to Pittsburgh because my Grandpa was really sick and decided that he wanted to die on Saturday so my whole family went there to say goodbye before doctors took him off medications.

On a happier note. Happy birthday Daddy!!! It's my papa sans birthday today and he plays ukulele (that's why I started) so my mom got him a concert size ukulele and I got him a case for it. His two best friends from college came to visit and celebrate with us (because its 10.10.10).

This weekend I was transformed into a hipster. No big deal... My friend Thor and I are bff hipsters now. Yesterday I went to urban outfitters and got these fake glasses and this hat and a striped bandeau (finally!). Ps. I have a bunch of stuff on hold, I want to see how much my mom is willing to pay for. :D.

Yesterday I went over to Jenna's house and we got really bored so we went outside and had a failure of a photoshoot! It was dark out and I didn't know how to make my camera work in the dark, but never fear! My first photo class was today so maybe I'll learn to shoot at the awkward time where it's not nighttime and not day time, that's the time I get home.

Ps. These tights are so mesmerizing! You can't see it in the picture but there are sparkles and it looks like staring up into the galaxy and at the starts but there are more stars in a more condensed area. They're amazing. And shiny. It's fantastic.

"I see a lot of competition in fashion blogging. Obviously not everywhere, but it's hard to avoid. It’s all about who’s got the most followers, comments, the best sponsors, the most coverage in the traditional media, what have you. People want to be on top ten lists. It just seems like such a limiting way of measuring success, ordering people into ranks by some statistic. The numbers don't really mean anything very much, do they? I have about 250 followers at the moment. Does that make me 25% better than someone with 200 followers, or 20% worse than someone with 300? Clearly not! And a lot of bitchiness comes from that competition. A lot of comments about other bloggers along the lines of ‘why are they so popular, they’re nothing special, it’s not fair’. Again, this kind of thing is more prevalent in some parts of the fashion/lifestyle blogging world than others, and I do try and stay away from the places where you get concentrations, but it's near impossible to avoid completely. Neither am I resistant to this negative feeling and jealousy, not at all. I’ve never said it out loud, but I definitely feel it when I read a blog with 5,000 followers and 200 comments on every single post, when all they do is sponsored content and re-post vogue editorials. I hate feeling that way, and usually my reaction is to take that blog out of my reader and never think about it again. This is the reason I follow hardly any of the ‘big’ blogs, because this has happened quite a few times and I hate being disappointed (because being ‘famous’ inevitable raises such expectations) and feeling negative about people. It’s the reason I refused to even look at Style Bubble for ages. Which was a silly thing to do really, because now I’ve added it to me reader and I love it! And what makes it even sillier is that I feel that way despite having no ambitions whatsoever to become ‘big’. I am setting myself up as being in a competition that I don’t even want to be in. I’d be lying if I said I don’t want my little blog to grow, but organically and on it’s own terms, in a way that makes me happy and crucially, in a way that doesn't become a full-time occupation. I don’t want to be in competition with anyone, I want to be in dialogue with readers and other bloggers. I enjoy the interaction. It makes me feel all fuzzy that some people actually enjoy reading about my silly rants and obsessions, and a few people come out to comment and say hi. But I am honestly, genuinely not interested in gaining sponsors, or media coverage, or being offered paid work on the back of this blog. And it is only if you're interested in those kinds of things (and I think there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but it's not for me) the statistics matter at all."

So I guess what this post is a message (mainly to myself) to just chill out a bit, and enjoy the good things about blogging without worrying about numbers or what others are doing. I (we?) need that kind of reminder every now and then.

Last week marked the end of New York Fashion Week. Post-show, the editors, buyers and bloggers went to work to define and list the trends, hoping we'll follow along. Sushi Cat: Click on the link, I dare you! While doing my usual stalking of StumbleUpon (read: procrastinating on StumbleUpon), I came across this game. You drop a round cute cat. Into little Chinese (yes, I know, sushi is not Chinese). But the catch! You have to collect sushi by dropping the cat onto the sushi that is in between the dropping area and the take out boxes. Nylon Magazine: I would like to start of by saying DO YOU SEE WHAT SHE IS WEARING? It's so random, but it is perfect and amazing and pretty and I. Want. It. This happens to be my first Nylon, I carry it EVERYWHERE (everywhere... not kidding). It's just so darn good! Cameras: My friend and I had this epic conversation about cameras and what we wanted to do if he went into the fashion industry today. It made me really want to research cameras and buy every single kind I can find. Tapered Sweatpants: I'm craving a pair, so much! They're comfy because they're sweatpants, and they're cool because they're cool (I'm good at adjectives...) and they're pretty, and they look nice, and they're soft, and they're like harem pants but better, and I could go on. Daria: I found Daria over the weekend, I've only watched three episodes, but I am HOOKED! It's so good, and she is so cool! I think Tavi says it best in her bio on her blog:

I agree. Fully. Watch it! Please! Do it! NOW (the first one is called "Esteemers")!!! It's all about this girl, Daria, who goes so against the flow of highschool, she makes fun of her self and doesn't care about popularity, she thinks everyone is a jerk and her best friend (at least from the three episodes I watched) is Jane, who happens to be an amazing artist.

Georgia May Jagger: LOVE HER! Especially her gap (in her teeth)! I want to use the word cute, but, it's not... People use cute to describe old people AND THEY ARE NOT!!!! I have nothing against old people but CUTE?!? to describe and old n!?!? LIKE WHAT?????? So if I call Georgia's gap cute, it would be like a teenage guy saying that Megan Fox is just "cute". The moral of this story is: I love Georgia May Jagger, that is not cute, but some other form of the word cute that fits a (insert age here) year old model.

Another lesson I learned from this post: When pictures aren't normal sizes, they are really hard to resize without become all gross. I spent so long on trying to get this right, and its still not. GRRR!!!!

I'm not dead! I promise! Just busy! I was on StumbleUpon the other day (get one! they are soooo addicting!) and it took me to the Jen Kao Spring 2011 RTW collection. I've never heard of the designer (maybe I live under a rock....)(as far as I can tell I don't though) but I LOVE this. It's so flowy and beautiful and check out the shoes!!! I wouldn't mind a pair of those knee high sandals. My favorite part? The green pants and the green shorts, I would DIE for those!!!!

Today I totally rearrange my room (finally!), I really like it. I wish my walls were white though (they're kind of light purple). It's a total mess now, I'm gonna go clean it.... yay?

Awesome tumblr pics. I know, I've been a shittastic blogger! But I honestly never thought school could be so hard and have so much work. I stay up late every night finishing it and it's only freshman year! Ultimately schoolwork comes before blog so that's why I've been missing a lot of days and having crappy posts, there is just so much stuff to do! Especially with tennis practice until 5:45ish. I'm starting a digital photography class in two weeks. I'm so excited, I don't think it's comprehendable the excitement that wells up inside of me... Uh, no, joking. Today was amazing. I actually understood lit (literature/english) class, did super well in science, won my tennis match and felt AMAZING in my outfit. Only one bad thing in the entire day: found out Justin Bieber's on the cover of Teen Vogue. I don't really like it that much anymore but really? Justin? And for all you fans: I have no doubt that Bieber has amazing talent, I watched him live on SNL but why does a 16 year old boy sing about what he is singing about? I went to Goodwill with Mimi and her mom today! It was probably the biggest thrift store I have ever seen. I think it was the size of one floor of a department store. We had to evacuate it a little bit after we got there because apparently there was a live grenade in the store (???). There wasn't. But we had left to go to another Goodwill and we couldn't find it so we went back to the original one (no grenade) and our cart was still there which was amazing. Hi! So far the last two days have been so much fun. Yesterday after school I went to the thrift shop and got two new shirts and a skirt, I may or may not show them to you later because I feel lazy right now. Then after that I went out for Chinese with the family (delicious) then I walked around the neighbourhood with a bunch of people from my school. Then today my mom took me to a consignment shop and I found out they have vintage stuff now!!! Mi madre got me a pair of shorts, a jacket and a dress. All vintage. All AMAZING! I was literally freaking out in the store. Like I said I'm feeling lazy so I'll show you them laterish. I'm randomly in love with like bohemian (is that even what I'm wearing? I don't know what these styles are called... I'm not filled in about this stuff) stuff. Baggy, long, not shapeless but not skin tight things. Must take trip to thrift shop to raid the stuff everyone else thinks is ugly! So today was the first day of high school, it's more fun that middle school. Thing I learned? Don't bring my camera, even if I want to take pictures because it adds an extra bag for me to carry. I honestly look like a crazy bag lady waddling around the school piled with my camera bag, my 20lb (yes, I weighed it) bag of class stuff, my racquet bag and my bag full of tennis clothes. AND added onto that people were giving me odd glances and once-overs because of my outfit (which I love but I guess isn't so popular...). I think all of this is quite funny :). I finished my green tea by the way, it was sad when it was done. Now, Sims 3, reading poems and computers project!

Went to Urban Outfitter's with Jenna today. None of the people who work there should EVER let us in the doors, each of us had in the end about forty items to try on. And the worst thing? We liked most of it, by the end of trying things on we would get excited about the stuff we didn't like because it meant we would have to spend less money. Once I was done tearing up the whole store and trying EVERYTHING on I had $420 worth of stuff I wanted, I slimmed it down to $140 :D. I was so proud. The stuff is on hold so I'm going to take mi madre to the store and see if she feels generous enough to buy any of it for me as "back to school" shopping. Jenna ended up with more than me. Then in the end I bought this purse and sunglasses because I couldn't wait. On the way back we found peppers, they were pretty.

Banksy is so amazing. He's a hugely know graffiti artists "based" in Bristol and London. His graffiti is usually anti war and anti establishment and often he picks children, policemen, rats and eldery people as his subjects. If Banksy puts his work on a building it's like its sacred, I would give anything to have an apartment in London and have him graffiti on it. But of course you can't just walk up to him and ask. He is really secretive about his identity so I don't think that many people know what he looks like. His way of targeting huge issues like war and global warning etc. is really amazing. Okay I give up, I was trying to give like a really intense analysis of Banksy but it kind of fails. DARN! Anway my theory is that Banksy is a couple of friends who are really against what "the man" is doing so they portray it with illegal art. Eh, that doesn't sounds very smart either. You know what? I don't even care. Banksy is awesome. My 7th grade math teacher told me about him. Look him up on Google, read about him, look at his graffiti, that's probably better than me trying to explain him.

He's inspiring. Yea, that works best.

Today was the first of many that I will spend at home just relaxing. I read. A lot. But I'm still not done with Numero 7, thank god, or else I would be sobbing. I've actually watched a lot of the Cycle 13 Petite Model season of America's Next Top Model for part of the day. I'm kind of mesmerized by it, the more I see and encounter modelling the more I want to do it. Also seeing this cycle was particularly intriguing because it was only for model's 5'7" and under, which is the height that I wish I could grow up to be (sadly I will probably only be 5' 5 1/2"). Anyway, seeing a bunch of "short" models doing beautiful shoots was pretty inspiring especially when the show brought in guest judges that were models and supermodels that were shorter (as in 5'8", which isn't THAT short). During my Fashion Remix class at camp I was the model for my group and when it came to the photoshoot I had so much fun posing and modelling and when I saw my pictures they weren't too bad for my first attempt at doing it, if I do say so my self. I feel like people think that it's BAD to be a model (I'm sure my parents think just that) and I don't think they should judge them that harshly because if they're a model it's because it's what they wanted to do. I dunno, I need Tavi to put my feelings into words, she's always good at describing stuff and all that, alas I am not the writer she is. I could probably go on but it would get repetive and awkward and I'd probably end up saying something stupid so for now I'm going to just say that I think I would have a really fun time if I was a model but I'm pretty sure I'll never be one. Bye now!

Yesterday M and I wore out matching shirts and boots. We felt beyond cool :). Neither of us knew we got the same shirt until we left the store but the boots (as you may know) were established before we entered the godly store called Pay-Half. Yesterday I spent the entire day at camp because the talent show was last night and I had to prepare for my cat walk. It was a lot of fun, modelling seems like a lot of fun (don't look at me like I'm crazy!), but I'm way too short. Oh well. Finished Harry Potter 6, I'm thoroughly depressed, the only book that made me sadder was My Sister's Keeper. R.I.P Dumbledore, you will be missed.

I have this thing with seeing what's in people's bags, I love it, what they carry kind of shows what kind of person the owner of the bag is. My bag is a camera bag, for a camera that died just yesterday, RIP my dear Pentax. It randomly wouldn't do anything but turn on, I am very upset. Never fear, I will use my saved up money to buy a replacement one, any suggestions on brand/kind? As of now I'm using my dad's Panasonic FZ35, it's inbetween a digital and DSLR.

Hello! I didn't blog yesterday. But I can explain! I went on a giant day trip to Philly with my camp. I finally went to a Salvation Army thrift store and I was excited beyond the world! It's so much better than the thrift store near me. I got a humongous Mickey Mouse t-shirt that I wore today and a short sleeved floral sweater (YAY!). I wish I lived in the city, everything is so much better there. Check out the boots Maddie and I are wearing, yea, awesome right? Well they are mine now!!! And for only $50! I love the city! I found the checkered pants she's wearing at my thrift store, I couldn't leave them to slowly rot and die in that place so I bought them even though I wasn't gonna wear them. I got a bunch of other stuff yesterday but you shall see them when I wear them :) Live long and prosper!

I'm going to enter the outfit I wore today in this years Teen Vogue Snapshot Contest, so when I get it posted I can show it to you but for now IT'S A SECRET!!! Today in Fashion Sketching I finished drawing a line that is supposed to be inspired by Katharine Hepburn and Issey Miyake, it's not what I had hoped it would come out to be but its not bad. I borrowed my daddy's Pentax today, so real pictures! I'm going to a camp for the next two weeks and I'm taking fashion sketching and fashion remix. Sketching was amazing! My teacher/counselour, Vicky, drew the stuff in the first picture and she just graduated from Parson's and she's a freelance designer and she has the best clothes (I'll have to feature her some time). I want to be just like her. Remix is really random, we made headbands??? Yeah, I know... Oof. It's fun though, but I don't actually know what the class is, I guess I'll find out. And feet, they belong to me, this picture could never have been taken on my shitty digital Fugifilm. God bless DSLR.

Spent the day doing errands with my mommy and breaking in my new Mango t-shirt! I got it as a present, and I am proud to say that I finally own something from Mango. I'M BACK FROM CAMP AND VACATION!!! I missed you all and I missed blogging. Camp was so much fun and I have like a thousands new friends, yada yada. But it was great, really. A few pics from today. I went to Sophie's house so that we could go see Eclipse but that didn't end up happening, we went swimming instead. Went shopping with Jordyn, Jenna and Sophie today. Got the shirt and pants and shorts from Urban Outfitters, all together they were about $145USD. Then we went and ate lunch, burgers, yummm! We went to American Eagle after that and I got the anchor ring and anchor necklace, it was buy one get one free so it was about $12USD. Fun weekend, county fair yesterday, ordered Chinese for dinner. New shoes! And they were free! My au pair doesn't fit in them anymore so this morning she just comes downstairs with this pair of shoes (which, by the way, I have wanted before) and says I can have them. So happy :D. They are Charlotte Russe (I want to go there, I haven't been). Just got back from 8th Grade Showcase, it's so sad! Only one more week of Middle School. Actually, that part isn't sad. But I will miss not having to worry about how well you do. And now my rant is done. :) I LOVE YOU!

What you’ll need: Lace body (or lace leggings, lace anything really), Safety pins (I used 19mm, brass, Quantity: 140ish), minimum 8m of ribbon, Dressmaking pins
Position and pin a desired shape of ribbon bulk on the lace piece.
Replace with safety pins

Draw out ribbon and measure by touching on all safety pin points, leaving 5 inches at both ends,
Lace it up like you would do with shoes

You won’t need a dressmaking dummy to do this – lay it out flat on your bed and do the pinning. Of course you could pin while wearing it if you like that kind of thing (no judgement) but it might hurt. I’m just saying.

I wouldn’t wash the safety pins – remove them, hand wash the body accordingly, then re-apply!

First thing is first. I'm sorry I lied to you about making an outfit post two days ago, I ended up crapping out at the end of the day and I didn't have energy to make one. On to this post though. First I would like to give total credit to text and pictures and idea to the fabulous Shini from PARKandCUBE. I love her DIYs and this one is absotively positutely my favorite. I. Want. This. would be the bottom line. I'm going to Urban Outfitters over the weekend so if I find a lace bodysuit similar (this one is from Topshop) I'm going to try this out. Hopefully I can find one. And I have news! Bad news though :( On June 12th I will be going away to Greece and Turkey (!!!) for two weeks with my family. The day after I come back I'm going to sleep over camp (with my friend) for four weeks. My point? This will mean no blog for 6 whole weeks!!! I will miss you guys so much! Welcome to picture spam world, where I take too many photos and post so many that Picasa makes it so that I have to do it in four posts. Today was a really crappy day, see the gloomy rainy weather, but instead of make me feel pooey like it usually does I had a really good day. Besides that fact that we didn't get to play my favorite game in lacrosse, oh well. So because of the rainy and cold and yucky weather I had to go to school fully covered or else I would freeze and die. Hence, shirtdress (which by the way I was thinking of because of Chantal of cocorosa's AMAZING outfit yesterday). And oh the Uggs, some of the ugliest shoes in the world but god were they comfortable, and I don't think they looked that bad with the outfit I'm wearing. I got compliments from the most random highschool senior, so I'm hoping that's a good thing. But I want the weather to be warm again so that I can wear my new shoes and skirt and short sleeved shirts and stuff (most of my cold weather stuff doesn't fit anymore). I feel like I have so much more freedom during the warm weather, it just gives more choice in outfits. There I go ranting about stuff again, *sigh*, well anyway, BYE!

hello kitty wallet: i was at this random japanese store in Narberth and I was browsing through the tacky little chachkas and super cool Totoro and ninja t-shirts (which I want, btw) I came across this lovely wallet. I wanted it really bad so I wasted all my money on it (this was like four years ago so whatever this costeed [I don't remember what it did] was a lot for then. Anyway, I still use this wonderful little Hello Kitty wallet.

Coach Thingy: This was a birthday present from my friend Sophie. Apparently she was forced to get my a nice present by her mother because my dad had helped their family in some way. So, thank you Sophie's mom for buying me a fancy gift, I use it whenever I go out (or I use a coach purse that my dad got me).

Butterfly Wallet: I. Love. This. Thing. Like it was my baby. I don't really use it much but I think it's the coolest thing for some reason. It's made out of the stuff where you press wool into fabrics or something of that nature (I really don't know). I got it from my friend Brooke for my birthday in 3rd grade, along with beads that are long since gone. I was such an excited little girl to get these presents (*giggles* then *fake sighs*)

Uh.... Monster Clip Wallet Thing?: Birthday present last year from my sister. It's one of those things where you press the button and it folds out. I don't know. I like it but I really wanted it with a vintage floral pattern or something. I use this one when I have a lot of gift cards.

So anyway, I made this post because I had blog block and I looked around my room and saw my wallets, I hope it wasn't too excruciating to read ;).

I went on a super adventure with my mom and sister today! We had to get glue and wine and undies which was easy but then we had to get safety pins (for a DIY project) as well. Apparently safety pins are super rare and very sparce. We went to multiple stores to find them and it's prety much like they don't exist. Finally we found a store that had them and even then they only had like three packages. ARG! Anyway, those three were enough in the end, I'll show you what I'm making when it's completely done. Then my mommy took us shoe shopping! And i got these Steve Madden canvas sandle things and simple black Anne Klein flats. I was in love with this other pair of shoes but apparently they were to high *Sad face*.

I really want to do DIY projects that are actually DIYing a real thing but I can't think of what to do, any suggestions?

Viktor & Rolf

I have grown an obsession with Viktor & Rolf. I don't know what it is about them but as I watch the videos of their shoes on style.com I am in complete awe. And when I don't like a collection in the beginning like the self-lit show or the ballroom dance show, they always redeem themselves as the show goes on. When I first watched this year's fall RTW show I was mesmerized by the layers and how amazingly they fit together but I then found out that in 1999, Viktor & Rolf had done a show of the same sort. They made a Russian Doll, by layering the clothes as they did this year. This in no way takes away from the beauty of this year's show but it does (for me) take away some of the innovation. Good bye, as I go and stalk more Viktor & Rolf stuff.

P.S: Their website is really cool but I haven't really explored it yet (HERE).
